Skate-Aid 9 – All Day DIY Punk Gig Fundraiser Returns

Riskee & the Ridicule

We are pleased to announce our huge DIY Punk all dayer – Skate-aid 9 – our huge fundraising gig for the small skate-boarding for kids charity.

2023 sees us bring another 13 bands/acts to Mama Lizs Voodoo Lounge in Stamford – with music from 1pm in the afternoon until 10:30pm.

Coming for the very first time to one of our gigs is the brilliant grime-punk kings Riskee and the Ridicule – we’ve seen them several times at other shows, and Krispy has chatted with them over a beer.  Finally we’ve tied them down to a date.  There’s a ton of other great bands coming too – and some special acoustic acts for the afternoon.  We will be cooking our usual vegan BBQ treats during the afternoon.

It’s a kids friendly event – especially the ‘free’ afternoon part.  Tix needed for the downstairs full band sessions.

Thanks to Everyone Who Has Donated!

scary clown presents fund raising

We justed wanted to say thank-you to everyone who has attended one of our enforced ‘streamed’ gigs this year.  Both have been massive successes – even though we couldn’t come together as planned.  Damn that pandemic!

Still you helped us raise a huge amount of dosh – way more than we ever imagined would be possible – we all should pat ourselves on the back and feel warm and fuzzy!

Skate-aid will be receiving about £750 – and we donated over £1,800 to the local homeless charity after the special gig in honour of our lost mate Bomber.

Monster Mash Line-up Complete

2015 all dayer final

We’ve announced the final line-up for our HUGE summer all day gig for Skate-aid…

So, we thought long and hard about who we should have to headline. Initially we were a bit disappointed cos we went after a coupla BIG names that couldn’t do it for one reason or another so needed to have a bit of a reality check. Then we had some interest from a few bands that were much closer to what we could do.THEN we had to decide what would sound right. So we agreed we needed a party band to round the night off with, probably a good bit of dancing and FUN. So we have a band that fits all that. Phew!

So bring your dancing shoes, and enjoy our Ska Punk headliners, Popes Of Chillitown https://www.facebook.com/PopesOfChillitown?ref=ts&fref=ts
