Burning Flag in Stamford
Saturday 23rd October – Matty’s birthday! Mama Liz’s Voodoo Lounge. 7.30pm. £8 adv, £10 door.
If you’re been keeping up, Burning Flag very recently released a brand new album, Matador, and it’s rather fecking brilliant. Our mate Holly has taken over the reins as front person, bringing her personality and vocals along for a wild ride.
Spewed forth from the blackened mill towns of Northern England, Burning Flag are a venomous twisted sludge of scathing Punk noise, 90s Hardcore and Industrial Riff. Holly Searle / Vocals. Jonesy: Guitar / Backing Vocals. Mark Midgley: Bass. Matt Fortune: Drums / Backing Vocals.
Burning Flag – just get their new album and see what all the fuss is about!
Casual Nausea – stunned us with their album a few years ago, and live they are a total mad ball of energy. Dual vocals bring you deadly serious messages mixed with a dash of fun.
Knife Club – No longer a secret cult, these are a supergroup in more ways than one! Bringing some of the most talented DIY punk people together and their initial album was a banger!
The Deadites – It’s daft these lot aren’t known more across the land, they are far better than “a local band” – they’ve played MPF so the people who know, know!
Tickets £8, £10 on the door – at everyone’s favourite venue, Mama Liz’s in Stamford.
Teenagers fine with a responsible adult. Unfortunately, the venue is a historical cellar so is not easily accessible (stairs only). The venue has an upstairs bar and restaurant – does cracking bar food, real ales, craft beers, cocktails to die for. The town of Stamford is a lovely historical place – too posh for punks 😉
