This is one of only 2 shows the “the POD” have crawled out of retirement for and they’ll be playing Surrounded By Idiots in full.  You’ve seen their faces coming along our gigs for a while, and obviously they couldn’t resist our happy little scene any more.
Support from Ipswich Carnage masters Casual Nausea, outstanding tunesmiths Shackleford and Parallel States making a very welcome return.

The Scary Clown Presents a Punk Rock BBQ & Flea Market

wonk and raging nathans official posterAn afternoon of a Vegan BBQ and Flea Market and hanging with the good folks followed by a 7 band evening spectacular in the voodoo lounge.  Afternoon open to all – tickets required for music later.   Mama Liz’s opens 12 noon and I expect we shall be there on the dot to set-up.. BBQ feeding from 2.30pm … bands downstairs from 5.30pm sharp!   See you there!

This year we welcome back the mighty WONK UNIT who are touring with THE RAGING NATHANS from the US of A!

Our ‘all dayer’ events are legendary – and our April BBQ event is always sold out.   This is a special gig, part of Wonk Unit and The Raging Nathan’s big UK joint headline tour!   Yep we only bring the finest in DIY Punk for your entertainment.  We’ve got a lot of friends playing this gig, plus some bands breaking their SCP cherry!

Any age allowed if accompanied by an adult over 18.

Scary Clowns Punk Rock BBQ and half dayer is an afternoon spent hanging out and BBQing in the awesome surroundings of Mama Lizs followed up with a relentless 7 band onslaught in the Voodoo Lounge from late afternoon till Midnight. Possibly our most fun and best attended date of last year. Will be using this event to raise a few (s)quid for Sea Shepherd too!!!

Okay final few tweaks and running order sorted all times are approx and subject to influence of alcoholism.

BBQ will Start at 2.30: Come hang and try some of Gareth finest menu yet, expect burgers, pulled jackfruit, seitan kebabs and more. Fully Vegan Menu and gluten free options too!  Plus a vegan craft beer brewed special (obviously lots of lovely drinks at the main bar too!).

Punk BBQ Gig in Stamford, Seven Bands!

We’ve come up with a new concept; chill afternoon then gig all night.

16th April 2016.

This will be an afternoon spent hanging out at Mama Lizs with a Vegan BBQ and then a 7 band evening spectacular in The Voodoo Lounge. Gazeebos, Beers, Burgers, Clowns. Sweet. More info as it becomes available. This day will be a benefit for North Cambs Hunt Sabs, because we hate Fox Hunting Toffs.

BBQ and beer 2.30-5.30pm. 

8 Bands and beer 5.30 – Midnight (bar open late)

* The BBQ will be vegan, but Mama Liz’s caters for meat eaters if you prefer plus there’s decent take away chinese opposite venue, and very good chip shop 10 minutes walk away.

UPDATE: Friends of Scary Clown, the fantastic WONK UNIT, have been added to the line-up.
