First Five Years Album Is Coming!
Well we are bloody well doing this! The Scary Clown Presents… has pulled together 33 tracks from 33 bands to make our dream come true, a double vinyl album featuring bands who have all played our gigs over the first five years. There are more we’d loved to have included, but there was limited space (82 minutes all in) – so it had to be first come first served. We are VERY pleased with the results, thanks to Matt Cade for putting together the vinyl mixes for us, and Aston at Boss Tunage for getting the manufacturing sorted. These things do take time – we hope to have the physical copies end of Jan, hopefully for our Airstream Futures gig on 27th Jan at Mama Liz’s. We will keep people informed of course! The DIY Punk album features some never before released tracks, including one from Wonk Unit, the undisputed kings of our scene. We even had some bands go into the studio to record something special just for us, not just here in the UK but also in the USA!

The Scary Clown Presents… a DIY Punk Compilation Album!
Bloody exciting news alert!!!
Our punk collective has been thinking about extending our reach by creating a small independent record label for some time – and to kick that off we’ve decided to start with a compilation album, entitled “The First Five Years”. We’ve had over 100 bands play at our gigs over the last five years (we celebrate that 5th birthday at our next gig at Mama Liz’s, which also celebrates their 10th year of being a cracking independent music venue.
So SCP0001 “The First Five Years” is well underway, with almost all the bands & tracks agreed (30ish in total), our music producer guru is in place, and we want all tracks with him before the end of October!
We’ve got some of the cream of the DIY punk scene on this banger, and in many cases it’s never released tracks! We’ve got quotes in for the manufacture & pressing – we are going for top quality production values on our first baby, no expense spared, no bank account left in the black. We are talking a double vinyl gatefold LP and a full to bursting CD!
Artwork mock-ups are underway (we’ve got a ton of great photos thanks to scene photograph Mark Richards and local hotshot Pawel!)… and a rough schedule is in place too keep us honest. We may have the best punk rock Xmas pressie of all time on our hands!

Wonk Unit & Raging Nathans added to our April 2018 BBQ Gig!
YES! We are dead chuffed to be able to announce that our amazing friends WONK UNIT will return once again to Mama Liz’s Voodoo Lounge in Stamford, this time as part of their dual headline show with the USA band RAGING NATHANS!
It’s rare one of our gigs features a touring band from the states, so make sure you get tickets for this one, as our Wonk Unit gigs nearly always sell out, and our all dayers with vegan BBQ are legendary 🙂 We plan to have a bit of a flea market too, so if you’re someone arty or who has hand-made stuff to sell, get in touch with us! We plan to support the local exotic pet refuge, and they may well be bringing OWLS with em!
The line-up is completed with five other great bands, some old friends a couple of bands new to Scary Clown Presents… events.

Wonk Unit Mr Splashy Tour Hits Stamford!
Our friends the MIGHTY WONK UNIT are back from a tour of Germany and the USA (including playing at the massive FEST), and are now on the UK leg of their “Mr Splashy” tour.
Of course we had to bring them back to the Voodoo Lounge during that tour – it’s not Xmas without Wonk Unit joining the Scary Clown family is it?

Wonk Unit Added to April Gig
We just can’t stop adding fantastic bands to our April ‘half dayer’ – and the day is getting longer and better value for money too!
Just £10 for an advance ticket gets you into our family friendly charity gig, raising money for our local Hunt Sab group.
Long time friends of Scary Clown, the fantastic WONK UNIT, have agreed to come and join the party, so we’ve got the most banging line-up this spring!
Xmas Gig Sold Out & Band Change
Ok so true to form we have a last minute problem. Lets Meet Jesus have had to pull out due to reasons totally beyond their control. They’re totally gutted at missing the night so send them some xmas love. We do however have a line up replacement in One Nation who are an ace Boro band and rapidly becoming Scary Clown faves!
Sooooo a little word about a very VERY nice man. Sometimes when things get a bit tricky certain people step up to the mark and help out or do a bit to encourage or show some support and so on. Then there’s Daniel Spense. Undoubtedly without Dannys help this night might not have happened at all, so if you see the big guy with the tattoos doing the sound show that man some love. Xmas Bash Moves Venue to Cherry Tree
Due to our original venue, the Attica VIP closing down, we have been forced to move quickly to find a new venue for our massive Xmas party gig. So fear not, it still goes ahead, and still not far from Peterborough town centre. All tickets sold already are still fully valid, and it’s still just £5.
So come join the Xmas punk rock festivities, with everybody’s favourite love punks WONK UNIT , Goliaths of ROCK Meansteed and 3 wise men Let’s Meet Jesus join the party AND Beverley Kills (band) from Cambridge complete the line up. Bon!
